My New Address...

These cards are a combination of the Designer Series Paper Botanical Gazette that coordinates with the Nature Walk stamp set.  Great as general use cards but with the addition of stamped sentiment can be more personalized.

The spritzer tool was used with a Not Quite Navy marker to give the Early Espresso bird a more colorful background.

When my 92 year old Grandmother moved to her new two bedroom condo, she wanted an address change card to send to all of her cousins, the Golden Girls.  I made 28 of the bird cage card and added 'My New Address' sentiment printed off in Early Espresso (r90 g71 b58) and punched with the Large Oval punch.  Inside I placed a business card with her new address and also a white layer so she could send a note.  She was so happy with the result.

Nothing says Happy Birthday like a Bear on a Bike

I love this little bear on his bike!  He is stamped in Soft Suede and then embossed with Pewter embossing powder.  It looks a little light in the photo but the pewter looks great with Soft Suede.

The Edgelits dies, Adorning Accents are so cute.  It was not easy lining up the layers but it became easier when I decided to cut the edge off each layer first with all of the layers (Soft Suede, Whisper White and the striped) at 5 1/2 inches wide.  Then I lined up the edges and used my small trimmer to cut a little off each side of the Whisper White and then the striped paper so that they layered nicely.

There is a Whisper White liner inside the card.  It was edged with the Edgelit die and then the Soft Suede was embossed with the coordinating Edgelit embossing folder, Adorning Accents.

Clean and Simple Birthday

Such an easy card but looks so elegant.  Perfect for anyone.

This card was made for a Clean and Simple challenge CAS175, based on a black swim suit with a white ruffle.

The Stampin' Up! Scalloped Edge Border (119882) punch to create four layers for 'ruffles.' The Happy Birthday sentiment from Perfectly Penned (122892) is heat embossed using white embossing powder and white craft ink. Embossing the sentiment adds so much to a card, especially when it is on a dark background.

You make me smile.

The retired Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Gala DSP is a favorite of mine.  I love the color combinations.  As my blog title says, I am card stock crazy and that includes being crazy about Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper.  Being crazy means I have hoarded alot of retired paper, which I still use regularly and will continue to use until it is gone.  Then I will probably be sad.

I also have a lot of the beautiful newer DSP and promise to post using some soon.

I created these two cards using Connie & Mary's sketch CCMC207.  Five cards of each color were sent to Operation Write Home.  These are great general need cards for a hero to send home to family or friends.

Be Happy

Be Happy.  Seems like a good place to start.

I've been creating cards for years now and have recently enjoyed sharing them online.  So now I'm blogging.

While I make a lot of cards, I'm not a prolific 'card sender.'  However I enjoy making cards and was excited to find a great outlet for them:  Operation Write Home.  'Helping heros keep in touch with home.'  Great idea.  Check it out.  http://operationwritehome.org/

This card was created based on a clean and simple sketch (CAS176) using Stampin' Up! supplies.

Stamps:  So Many Sayings
Paper:  Botanical Gazette DSP, Whisper White, So Saffron
Ink:  Not Quite Navy

Thanks for looking and Be Happy!
